Baby ring and other things.....

I still can't believe that in a few short days, this little girl will be ONE! It's crazy when I sit and think about it. She's literally changing right before our eyes! Bless her little heart -- yesterday she had a fever and was definitely not feeling well, but would still manage a smile when she could. We are hoping it is because of her new teeth coming in -- she had no other symptoms.

She is gaining confidence with each step, and walking more and more -- I just know that crawling is soon to become a distant memory.

We are in the process of weaning -- and I am glad I am able to say "we". I am so thankful to have a wonderful husband and for Darbs to have a wonderful Daddy. He has really played a huge role in this nursing process believe it or not. I know I would not have been able to make it this long had it not been for his patience and understanding, as well as making it possible for me to stay at home with Darby Kate (I couldn't have kept up with that girl!) And for all the frustrations and discomforts that came with it -- they no way compare to the wonderful moments and experiences we've had throughout this time. I truly make it a point to tell her how much I love her -- no matter if it's 2 in the morning or 2 in the afternoon. She is just tooooo precious!!

Her Babe came over today and put Darb's baby ring on her tiny little finger -- and, to see that it fit -- almost getting too small -- let me know once again how fast she is growing. We had to take a few pics -- we couldn't resist!

Darb's and Babe with their rings.

I had to add this last pic -- it's our first harvest from our garden this summer. Peppers, peppers and more peppers! I'm hoping our tomatoes will do good as well. We'll see!
